The joint participation of the PPM Confirel Group and FAES in major running events in Cambodia now stands as a key pillar of their health, wellbeing and social responsibility strategy, with the recent Angkor International Marathon as a highlight.

During the 30th edition of the Angkor International Half Marathon, marked by a new participation record, the PPM Confirel Group and FAES stood out through a highly visible onsite presence, combining internal sporting engagement and promotion of their solutions for runners preparation and recovery. Around 80 to 90 staff members from PPM and Confirel wore the groups colors over the various distances, while running a booth dedicated to Kinal Baume (PPM) and Potentiator (FAES), in direct contact with thousands of Cambodian and international participants.

The booth, led by the marketing team with Dr Sai Sreymom at the forefront, allowed participants to try Kinal Baume to warm up legs and thighs before the race, as well as Potentiator as an effortsupport product, in the form of a protein drink distributed early in the morning to runners. Between demonstrations, preparatory massages and tastings, a significant share of participants came back after the race to purchase the products, confirming their appeal in a demanding sporting environment.

A few weeks earlier, the PPM and FAES laboratories had already made their mark as sponsors of the 5th Cambodia Elephant Trail Marathon, held in the wild in Kirirom National Park, with 750 runners from 31 countries over distances ranging from 8 to 64 km. The marketing team had already positioned Potentiator 5G – an aminoacid formulation designed to support energy, muscle mass, immunity and hormonal balance together with Kinal Baume as a complementary duo for muscle preparation and recovery for trail runners.

According to Ms Sai Sreymom, Marketing Manager, the discovery of a local “made in Cambodia” balm pleasantly surprised many foreign athletes, several of whom decided to buy the products for their next competitions after testing them in real conditions. This commercial and image success strengthens the credibility of PPMFAES in the trail and running world, showing that solutions developed in Cambodia can meet the expectations of a demanding international audience.

From the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon to the Cambodia Elephant Trail Marathon, the involvement of PPMFAES in running is becoming more structured over time. The participation of dozens of staff, official sponsorship, the promotion of performance and wellbeingoriented products, as well as support for social and public health causes, position the PPM Confirel Group and FAES at the crossroads of sport, prevention and social responsibility in Cambodia.
